Phishing emails and fake phonecalls

Just
two years ago, phishing was the greatest threat to the security
of financial services customers. Recently however, GlobalCapital
p.l.c has received calls from a number of U.K residents
complaining of persistent phonecalls made by callers claiming to
be Globalcapital p.l.c. representatives.
Through
internal investigations it has transpired that these phonecalls
did not originate from our call centre. The U.K residents who
have contacted us have also stated that
a rather distinctive
Indian accent is being used by the callers and that personal
information as well as funds are being requested.
We are
therefore advising the general public that such calls are not
sourced from Globalcapital p.l.c or any of its affiliates and no
information should be given to these individuals. GlobalCapital
p.l.c is based in Malta and our call center representatives,
only conduct their professional business on and for the Maltese
Islands.
